What does your role at Fantastic Furniture involve?
To successfully manage a group of Fantastic Furniture stores ensuring that they achieve or exceed agreed budgets and KPIs whilst working within our guiding purpose, principles and practices and following our operational guidelines.
Describe some of the main skills you need to be effective at your job.
An excellent motivator, communicator and a good eye for detail. An in depth understanding of KPIs and budgets and how each facet affects one another, together with a thorough understanding of what needs to take place to achieve success and how to make it happen.
What makes your job rewarding?
From a Area Managers perspective; meeting and exceeding budgets, leading and motivating successful teams and reviewing numbers and trends to target poorer performing facets and enjoying the rewards of increasing them.
How has your career at Fantastic Furniture changed or developed?
I started out as Store Manager at Fantastic Furniture in Shepparton in August 2006 and since then have helped out with training new Managers and assisting with opening new stores. I have recently been promoted as an Area Manager in NSW.
What has been your career highlight?
Fortunately, there has been many...being appointed as an Area Manager I would say tops the list.

Outdoors...hiking, camping, fishing and motorbike riding
